We were fans of the book The Help long before the movie version came out in 2011, starring Bryce Dallas Howard as Hilly Holbrook and Emma Stone as Skeeter Phelan. If you've seen the film, you know the costumes and houses were stunning, so you can imagine our delight when we discovered that both Hilly's and Skeeter's homes are currently on the market.

The homes are located in Greenwood, MS, where approx. 95 percent of the movie was filmed. The home at 413 Grand Boulevard, on the market for $425,000, was used for the both the interior and exterior shots of Hilly's house.

You'll recognize the pool, which looks identical to how it does in the movie—minus the mid-century party attire, of course.

Here it is today:

The inside is definitely worth peeking at, especially if you happen to love the architecture of yesteryear.

Our favorite room? The pink bathroom—a kitschy and whimsical throwback to another time.

A different house in Greenwood (known as Whittington Farm) was used for the exterior shots of Skeeter's house, but all the interior scenes were filmed at 613 River Road, on the market for $240,000.

The home has an especially beautiful interior, and it's no surprise, given that it was originally constructed by the owner of a building supply company. The owner used his highest end fixtures in the home. Don't miss the amazing door hardware throughout or the Aurora newel post lamp.

According to Pam Powers of Powers Properties, who is in charge of marketing the home, "the story is that if one purchased hardware for their home, they would be rewarded with a gift of a newel post lamp, befitting the size of their investment, and Aurora was the ultimate prize!"

All the beauty we remember from the film still exists inside, especially when it comes to that stunning staircase, which was visible in a number of scenes.

As you can see in these stills from the movie, not much has changed in the house:

The bedroom, too, looks much as it did in the movie, save for a few paint color changes. Here it is in the actual house:

Powers also sent us this interesting tidbit of information:

"Interestingly, the mother of the owner of the home, Whittington Farm, which served as the exterior of Skeeter’s home, grew up at 613 River Road. Another resident of the home was Carolyn Terry Henton, the great granddaughter of Choctaw Chief, Greenwood LeFlore, for whom the town of Greenwood was named."
